The Star Shield is a disposable item from the Startrek Event you can buy for Galaxy Chips in the Premium Shop, you can also obtain it from Refinery Cubes. It works similarly to the Spying Capsule in that it surrounds a chunk of the base in a large cone, protecting the buildings from all attacks until the shield is destroyed.

In the old game (2013-2016) the Star Shields could only be bought for real money in the premium shop! Galaxy Life (2022-present) ran by Phoenix Network changed this and made it purchasable with Galaxy Chips
